Hongyo Kiln continues to make practical pottery with handwork as in the past. This production method has been cultivated since before the late Edo period when the Hongyo Kiln was born, using pure white pottery clay created by the nature of Seto and the eternal time, and the glaze is based on natural ash and natural feldspar. In order to make high-quality products, work is divided into division of labor, and the craftsmen master their skills through daily repetitive work.
